IAS Laboratories have been testing Drinking Water for over 30 years, and in that time come across many of the issues households experience in poor quality drinking waters. IAS laboratories test drinking waters for our basic Health Check Scan which includes Bacteria, Chemical, Metals and nuisance all in accordance with the European Union Drinking Water Regulations 2014 legislation. IAS Laboratory is an accredited Lab with INAB to international standards ISO17025.
The quality of Drinking Waters have been in the news in recent weeks (February 2021), when the EPA released the Drinking Water Quality in Private Supplies 2019 report where over 6% of the small private supplies failed to meet the standards relating to bacteria which is the most important indicator of safe drinking water.
Your own drinking water is a vital resource to you and your family, and if you are on your own private domestic well you should be aware of the quality of this water. The HSE and EPA recommend you to test your domestic supply every 12 months for bacteria, and to carry out a full analysis every 18-24 months. IAS laboratories compare your test results with the requirements of the current drinking water regulations to ensure your water meets the highest standards. We have an expert team with knowledge of many water related issues who can advise you on the appropriate steps to be taken. We will also advise you on Local authority grants which are available to assist in meeting the cost of installing water treatment systems when required.
