Covid-19 Coronavirus

Re. COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

IAS Laboratory is doing everything possible to continue the high level of service we offer.
We have put precautionary measures in place to ensure that we are helping to contain the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) while also ensuring a high quality testing service to all of our customers.

With the consideration of the health and safety of our staff and our customers we are taking precautions on an on gong basis in line with best practice and guidelines as recommended by the HSE, HSA and WHO.

The situation will be monitored as it develops and updates will be available on our website and social media channels.

• Customers /Visitors to the Laboratories

We encourage all customers/ deliveries /visitors/ to follow the guidelines on hand sanitisation as set out by HSE.

As hand washing is one of the most effective controls, we have displayed information sheets reminding staff and visitors of the correct hand washing protocol as recommended by HSE.

We are encouraging all suppliers and customers to utilise the drop box provided for samples and deliveries where possible. Due to the uncertainty of the ongoing situation we would ask customers who are dropping Water Samples to us to telephone the day before to ensure we are in a position to carry out all the tests required on the day of sampling

• Travel

We have requested that all employees provide us with details of their travel itineraries for overseas travel.
We would ask that any visitors who have recently travelled to the affected areas do not come on site in the interest of health and safety.

• Flexible working arrangements

We have organised shift work with the laboratory staff to ensure continuity of our service.
Several of staff are already used to working remotely and can maintain good communication without the need to be on-site.

• Visit to client and other sites by IAS personnel

Our sampling Team are already familiar with the need to comply with client-specific Health & Safety rules when collecting samples from sites and will also adhere to the HSE guidelines and best practice.

We appreciate that the situation is developing on a daily basis and we will keep our plans under constant review and will provide future updates on our website and social media channels.

Yours Sincerely,

The IAS Team.
